Acerca del libro
"In art especially, but in most professions, the saying goes something like this, 'The best carpenter can make the best chair with any material.' And that's why I made this book. I wanted to prove that I could stretch to taking great images with something so cheap, and so short-lived as a disposable camera.
As a child I would always carry one. The flash would create huge shadows; You'd get vignetting and aberration; Red-eye was a common problem. But the disposable camera is a symbol of an apparently dying medium. In the digital generation few are concerned with film. In a decade or so we won't have these 'single-use cameras', and they''ll be forgotten - all in favour of the next big thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm astounded by what we can do nowadays - I learnt photography through digital cameras, but I hope that the pictures in this book can serve as a reminder of where our techology came from, and of how beautiful images can be made with anything."
