PhotoScape 2011 is the third in a series of annual reviews of my photography.



These are designed to serve not only as a personal record of the places I've been and the photographs I've chosen to make - but also as an assessment of the progress I hope I've been making as a photographer during that period.



In this book, the photos have been made exclusively in Scotland, the land I belong to and which seems to exert an ever-growing fascination for me the older I get. As usual, too, they are mainly landscapes, from the Borders where I've chosen to live, to the Highlands and Islands I visit as often as I can get there.
