Acerca del creador
I started photography back in 1985 when I got my first real SLR camera - a Pentax K1000. I loved that camera and still do to this day because it is all manual - no fancy tricks. I got into digital photography because I loved the immediacy of seeing what I had captured and have continued to work my way up from a point and shoot to an SLR Digital. Upon re-entering school from a long, long, long sabbatical, I got more interested in photography when I took my first darkroom class. I fell head over heels in love with Black and White photography as well as the feel and look of a print that has been hand developed rather than processed through a machine. I am inspired by photographers like Mapplethorpe and Cunningham for their ability to capture shadows and light on film. Since that Fall semester, I have been taking pictures daily in order to find new ways of capturing light and shadows of my own. Currently, I live on the East Coast with my husband and stepchild - still attending school.
