Along the shores of Maremma in Tuscany the sea deposits levigated and shaped pieces of wood.



Small sticks and robust branches are used to build bizarre shelters by bathers with fervent imagination. Survivors for a day, they use their colored beach towels to transform these huts into luxurious alcoves.



Looking between the veins of a trunk or the folds of a branch you can see an intriguing "bestiary" unconsciously sculpted by nature.



A sea bleached log becomes a young bull with budding horns and in a curved branch appears a fierce greyhound barking at a small alligator, protected only by his ligneous scales.



And there come snakes, turtles, whales and lambs.
