Second episode of the series, Isabelle travels to Peru to find the Inca Royal Highway.

“Hiking the trail was a great experience. It’s not for everyone, because it is a really hard hike, but it sure made the experience of arriving at Machu Picchu really seem like an accomplishment and that I had really ‘earned’ my trip there. [...] The Amazon was an unforgettable experience, the wildlife was really great. Our planet is very fragile; I wish people will take more care of it. You realised how fragile the eco system is in the Amazon Basin. The Inca civilisation was truly fascinating, I have learnt so much! I will repeat myself again, but that was really an overwhelming experience never to be forgotten…”



The Author: Isabelle Guyot was born in 1973 in Dijon, in France's Burgundy area. She currently works in customer services for Eurostar, in London. She moved to the United Kingdom in 1995. She has done a lot of backpacking across Europe, has travelled twice to Nepal, went to Bhutan, Peru, did the Trans-Siberian Railway... and has learnt a lot about people and about herself.
