These photographs show scenes at Monument Beach in Bourne from the last five years; they are about a place I have returned to for the last fifty years.

These pictures are about an edge of the sea and the experience of people in it on some summer days. They are meant to celebrate the land, the sea, the people and the place. And they are meant to reach out to the experience of other beaches, in other summers.
