This is a book about basic urban design concepts. Increasingly, ordinary citizens are asked to weigh the merits of proposed architectural projects in their downtowns. But as laymen they often lack an understanding of the fundamental principles by which such projects should be evaluated. This book helps bring them up to speed. It may also be useful as an introductory text for architectural students and professionals.
