51 participants were asked to sit in complete isolation in front of a one-way mirror* for thirty minutes. The photographer sat behind the glass shooting their changing expressions.
The shoots took place over five days at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
* One-way mirror: a mirror that is reflective on one side and transparent on the other.
