When dealing with a parent on dialysis.As scared as the patient can be ,dialysis if often an uneasy time for the children involved also.I am a ESRD transplant recipient who went through 2 years of dialysis with a 7 year old child wondering what was happening.I found comfort through the social worker at the dialysis clinic that I attended. We simply brought my child to the unit after hours and had the nurse and the social worker explain how the dialysis unit worked and answering questions.Thank you for taking the time to read this book to your child.I believe this will help.
