On the night of April 6, 2011, the Wagner College family gathered to bid farewell to their leader, their colleague, their friend: Devorah Lieberman, their departing provost and the next president of the University of La Verne.



Faculty leaders who had stood with her, young professors she had mentored, scholars whose work had led them (with her encouragement) around the world, student leaders whose eyes had been opened by her example, community partners in her efforts to engage with the civic and religious life of Staten Island, trustees who knew what she had done to enhance the scholarly environment of our little hilltop sanctuary — and, above all, her leadership partner, President Richard Guarasci … all came to see off their friend as she set her sights on her next sphere of service to the academy and the community: La Verne, California.



This album is a remembrance of that night.
