Sandy Smith-Garcés received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of California, and Master of Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York, after graduate study at S.A.C.I. in Florence, Italy. She has been the recipient of the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award for excellence in art at the School of Visual Arts. In the past 20 years Ms. Smith-Garcés has worked as an art director, commercial artist, and fine artist.
