This book is a collection of rules of the beach. Many of these rules are already understood by those who have grown up at or have spent a significant amount of time at the beach. Individuals who haven't had the opportunity to learn these lessons on their own should pay extra attention.



These rules were compiled over the course of two summers lifeguarding on 18th Street in Avalon, New Jersey.
