"Under the Yuma Sun and Under the Uruguayan Moon" is a book of the experiences, and photos taken, while the author was growing up in the sheltered state of Utah. When at the age of 21, the Mormon Church called him to a mission in Uruguay, South America. Some of his experiences in South America are related. Most entertaining amongst the many experiences of the book, is the references to his beliefs, his interest in education, his Danish culture and the education of his children and students. Occasionally the book presents a few sanctimonious references to the culture he was raised in and the things that were comical in his life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Larry Cleon Christensen graduated from Brigham Young University in 1963 wih a B.A. in Mathematics, a M.S. in Mathematics from Central Michigan University 1968, and an Ed.D. Curriculum & Instructional Science from Brigham Young University in 1981. Some of his experiences include: Picking fruit, working in the orchards of Mapleton, Utah. Playing in Dance Bands starting at the age of 13, paper boy for Vineyard,Ironton Road, Mapleton and Thistle. Sheepherder in Meeker, Colorado. Mail Contractor for the U.S.Postal Service. Train Clerk for D&RG Railroad. Teacher Secondary Education (18 years),CEO Software company, Software Consultant for I.B.M. Author, Computer Science Professor(19 years), Oil Exploration Seismologist, Farmer,Race horse, owner, and recently: Really Big Hasbeen He is married to Diane Gammon and has five children and twenty four grandchildren. He knows the names of all of them.
