For years I have listened to and read many biblical passages, all of which have spiritual meaning, but yet were a distant reality. A trip to the land of the Bible would bring this reality closer to my life. Educational Opportunity Tours took me on several journeys of a lifetime. Touring many excavations, visiting unchanged natural landmarks, listening to the history, and experiencing the geography made the bible more meaningful.

Photographs in this book were taken by me and my wife, Peg. Historical and biblical information was influenced by Bur Shilling, our tour guide. I appreciate and respect the contribution and efforts of both.

These photographs and their bible passages are the heart of the book. In addition, for some pictures there is a limited historical explanation.

The content is limited by my two trips to this land.
