In 2009 Nicole Schuerer received her bachelor of Fine Arts at the renowned art school

Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London.

After living in New York and London she returned to her hometown Vienna in 2010,

where she is a practicing artist regularly exhibiting at international art fairs and

exhibitions.

Her unique style to paint with oil pastels and acrylics developed from painting with

chocolate.

Playing with precise and intense lines to capture human expressions, tensions and

interaction became her distinct trademark.

The interaction with her own body, the modern woman, interesting facial expressions

and characters became her main focus.

She uses extreme contrasts of black and white to center the attention on parts of the

human face or facial expression. Predominantly yellow acrylic accents, like sunbeams

or flashes of energy, hide, play, connect or enhance the subject.
