Selected Travel photographs, 1980-2005. b. Oct. 30, 1946 - d. Dec 4, 2021. Born in Banas, Cuba, Claudio Emile Furones emigrated to the US in 1959 at the age of 13, escaping Castro’s communist revolution. He and his parents made afresh start on Bridgeport, CT. As a teenager he had to navigate a new language and a new culture. He found his own language through the lens of his first camera, and from there achieves tremendous success as an Architectural Photographer in New York City. He travelled the world doing corporate brochures for Fortune 500 companies like Goldman Sachs and American Express. His talents led him to pursue Fine-Art photography, specializing in the fields of travel, architecture and landscape photography. These are his collected best over a 25 year career.

The recipient of numerous photographic arts awards including honors from The New York Art Directors’ Club, The Chicago Art Directors’ Club, Spectra 07: Photographic triennial and Graphis Magazine, Claude received a fine arts education at the University of Connecticut where he was awarded the Victor Borge Scholarship for Performing Arts. Continuing at The New School: studied photography under such diverse and influential teachers as Lisette Model, Leonard Freed, and Ernst Haas; playwriting under Megan Terry; and directing under Joseph Chaikin.
