Patrick Kloosterman was born in the Netherlands in 1949. He studied Law and Arabic at Leiden University, then chose to be a painter instead. From 1977 until 1980 Lea Pagnier in Amsterdam was his tutor. He lives in Bussum, The Netherlands.
