Acerca del libro
For a year, photographer Chlöe Lodge returned to the same place: Great Haseley Windmill, standing at the meeting point of four fields in the South Oxfordshire countryside. She went in frost and fog, at dawn and dusk, sometimes for only eight minutes at a time. What began as polite, postcard-perfect pictures slowly became something else, as her own life shifted and spiralled and the images followed.
Held By What Moves is the book of her exhibition at The Neighbours Hall, Great Milton. It walks the reader through the room as it hangs: in through the dark, along the walls, and back out through the light. Lyrical texts sit alongside double and multiple exposures that layer one moment over another.
It is a book about return, about what holds, and about the quiet things that stay visible when we pay close enough attention. It ends with an invitation to find a fixed point of your own, and keep going back.
