By day, Kaylie, Damiyah, Semaj, and Wesley are four friends at UPrep. At dawn they become Dutchess, Megayah, Mechii, and Compass, the heroes who stand between their city and the villains of the Dusk. When Semaj finds a book with no words that writes his name, the Dawn Shield above the city begins to crack. The crew has forty days to learn what the shield was built to hold back.
