The single most important factor in MAKING a photograph is understanding—deeply and deliberately—the reason you are making it. When you know WHY YOU’RE RAISING THE CAMERA, every other decision becomes more intentional: where you stand, what you include or exclude, how you use light, and what you hope the viewer will feel. Without that CLARITY OF PURPOSE, even technically strong images can feel empty. With it, even simple subjects can carry weight and meaning.
