Acerca del libro
The main motivation behind this project stems from my interest in observing how people interact with the spaces they inhabit and move through. Japan offered a particularly compelling setting due to the constant coexistence of tradition and modernity, the collective and the individual, the familiar and the unexpected.
Through photography, I sought to capture everyday moments that immediately caught my attention through a combination of gesture, colour, light, composition, or context. Rather than documenting specific places, I was interested in portraying small scenes capable of reflecting both the diversity of human experience and the visual richness of the surrounding environment.
The project also emerged from a desire to explore spontaneity as a photographic language. Working through observation and a quick response to unfolding situations, each image became the result of a unique and unrepeatable encounter. My intention was not to construct a definitive vision of Japan, but to share a personal experience of discovery, inviting the viewer to pause and notice those fleeting moments that so often go unnoticed.
