The Last Polio Children consists of photographs of Children with Polio at the Menagesha Hospital in Ethiopia. The author, a polio survivor, visits these last children who contracted polio in Ethiopia and identifies uniquely with them, sharing a common illness. This revelation takes the author back in time to when he was himself a child, and suffering from polio. The photographs taken in 2015 and 2017 are starkly powerful, depicting children in their environment under the stress of a disease which takes its toll on the young. The images are expressive and reveal a tremendous sensitivity on the part of the photographer as they reflect the children's and the author's internal struggle with the disease. 72 pages, 8x10 dimensions.
