Acerca del libro
(bilingual French/English)
Vert Sang unfolds two series in dialogue: anthotypes, in which liquid chlorophyll, applied directly onto Arches paper, leaves fleeting impressions, and macro images created using a modified darkroom enlarger.
Between human blood and plant sap lies only a slight difference in chemical composition: magnesium at the core of the chlorophyll molecule, iron at the core of hemoglobin, like two forms of the same vital energy.
Within this alchemy, spectral greens degrade under light, while intimate textures probe the molecular architecture of green with blood-like reflections.
Fragile veils on paper blur the boundary between observer and observed, inviting us to inhabit, poetically, the rhythms of the living, revealing interconnected vital energies within a contemporary eco-poetics.
