Acerca del libro
THE EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY OF ORLANDO’S MOST ICONIC ROAD
Long before the neon glow and towering attractions, International Drive was little more than palmetto scrub, sand, and big dreams. I-Drive Magic: From Swamp to Spectacle invites you on a stunning digital watercolor journey through the evolution of Orlando’s legendary tourist corridor.
From the first pioneering hotel rising on a brand-new road, through the golden era of the High Q and Wet ’n Wild’s splashy corner, Morrison’s Cafeteria comfort food, and the suburban calm of Williamsburg, to today’s vibrant renaissance with The Wheel at ICON Park, colorful landscaping, wayfinding kiosks, Pointe Orlando, Fun Spot, and the nearby Universal globe — this collection captures the heart, history, and living magic of I-Drive like never before.
Created by I-Drive resident and artist Alexander Breve, these luminous digital watercolors blend his photographer’s eye with his passion for preserving the ever-changing landscape he calls home. Whether you’re a local, a frequent visitor, or simply fascinated by how a quiet Florida road became a global destination, this book is a visual celebration of transformation, nostalgia, and pure Orlando wonder.
Over 14 original digital watercolor artworks tracing I-Drive from the 1960s to the present
A perfect keepsake for Disney and Universal fans, Florida history lovers, and art enthusiasts
