“…the mysterious nature of memory, wandering, branching thoughts, a sense of wonder at the fragility of life and the passage of time, form the underlying tones of my work. Through embroidery, three-dimensional pieces, and video, I explore what we carry within us as human beings, and how my -our- inner world relates to the external one. So dreams and thoughts unfold and take on new, layered, and tangible forms. I have developed an embroidery technique in which drawing, embroidering and weaving merge. The transparent, free-form pieces are suspended slightly away from the wall, allowing them to cast soft shadows.
