Acerca del libro
It is the accumulation of everyday, often unnoticed moments that brings the city to life. The stillness of early morning, the opening of shops, the first movements in the markets, the flow of people heading to work—these are quiet, almost invisible processes, yet essential to the city’s existence.
They often go unnoticed, but without them, the city would not function.
As the day unfolds, these moments trace an emotional arc that gradually builds and recedes—from the calm of dawn, through the density of the day, into the slower pace of evening.
Hong Kong is presented here not as a collection of landmarks, but as a sequence of rhythms. The images move between density and isolation, repetition and interruption, visibility and invisibility.
What emerges is not a description of the city, but an experience of it—formed through a series of personal and impersonal moments.
Perhaps it is within these rhythms that the city becomes truly visible.
