Acerca del creador
Eyal Geiger is a Melbourne-based photographer. He started at fifteen with a Canon AF35, on a trip to Greece, and has been looking at things through a viewfinder ever since. He works in the street, at home and away, mostly close and mostly in black and white. The pictures that interest him are the ones where someone is absorbed in something and hasn't noticed him: reading on a doorstep, arguing over a table, carrying flowers to an occasion, working behind a window. Wherever he goes, the subject turns out to be the same one. People paying attention to things, in cities that don't always notice them back. His books are Without Being Asked, In Plain Sight, Streets of Phuket, 100 Stories, and A Certain Light. His new book, Before It Fades, made entirely in Melbourne, is coming soon. He generally shoots Fujifilm, but occasionally challenges himself with other equipment: medium format, a pinhole camera, and a range of lenses and filters.
