Acerca del creador
Bio Amazon An award-winning writer/photographer, Fran Palmeri discovered the beauty of Florida in 1950 when she visited Jacksonville with her family. In the 1960s, she and her husband stayed on Sanibel Island and from then on she spent part of most winters in Florida. After settling in Nokomis in the 1990s, she started photographing at Oscar Scherer State Park and other natural areas of the state and completed Florida's Master Naturalist course. Fran publishes regularly in the Florida press and journals in the U.S. and the U.K. Since 2005, she has been a contributing editor for the Sarasota News Leader and its predecessor, the Pelican Press. Earlier in her career she edited and published Women's Work, the nation's first career-planning magazine for women and worked for the Washington Star newspaper. She did the photography for Natural Florida Landscaping by Dan Walton and Laurel Schiller. Her work may be seen at parks and on her website: http://www.franpalmeri.com/
