Deep Eddy Pool is the oldest swimming pool in Texas. It began as a swimming hole on the banks of the Colorado River with the pool built in 1915 as part of a popular resort. It was bought by the City of Austin in 1935 and has been a popular spot to swim and play ever since.

The pool is fed by two wells and the water is a cool 68 to 72 degrees F.
