Acerca del libro
This is a snapshot of one of the small towns that dot the American landscape where the kids play their own version of baseball and the dust at the ball field permeates everything before the summer ends with the carnival at the county fair. The winters, the snow and the fog come and go while the corn seems to go on forever. The annual car show gets moved during the downtown renovation which everyone talks about endlessly. This is a small town.

I worked as a photojournalist for almost 50 years. I have been an amateur photographer, a freelance photographer, a staff photographer, an unemployed photographer (more than once), a photo editor, and the Chief Photographer at a daily newspaper. Now I’m a semi-retired photographer, which means I get to photograph whatever I like. I still take select assignments. I sell some stock photos and I shoot books. I live in a big blue house in a small rural community south of Chicago with my wife who has put up with this photographic obsession for more than fifty years.
