The Golden Triangle and central India
This journey began on foot, in the narrow lanes of Old Delhi, where splendour and humility exist side by side. Jewelled palaces rise above modest lives; prayer, commerce, and daily rituals unfold in the same breath. From the first step, India revealed itself as layered, intense, and alive.
We moved through mosques, Hindu and Sikh temples, forts and palaces — not as monuments frozen in time, but as living history. The white marble perfection of the Taj Mahal and the vast red walls of Agra Fort spoke of empire and ambition. In Jaipur, Amber Fort dominated the hillside, surveying Maota Lake below, its scale both commanding and serene.
The journey was also shaped by food and drink. Chai shared on street corners, lessons in its making, meals rich with spice and warmth. We ventured into the wifld on safari near Ranthambhore and then relaxed at Paangarh Lake . In Udaipur, the City Palace shimmered above the water, and a boat carried us past island palaces suspended between reflection and sky. Pushkar offered temples, incense, and crowded ghats, alive with movement and devotion.
Architecture and history are everywhere in central India— but this photo book is not only about what was built. It is about how people live within these spaces today. This is India as experienced in 2025: complex, beautiful, resilient, and human.
