This collection is a small sample of the work I've done over the past 25 years, and where I explore the idea of what it is to be an American in the 21st century.
Photographed mostly in the NY/NJ metropolitan area where I live and work, I focus on specific people that I find interesting and familiar to me based on my personal experience.

I have been a commercial and editorial photographer since 1979. During that time I have always worked on personal projects that focus on the people that we normally walk right by on our daily rounds. Real people in real places doing what they do. I try to make order out of chaos by exposing the moment that defines the physical manifestation of the people and places that I most relate to on an emotional level.
