The Monumental City: Echoes in Brick and Marble is a photographic typology of the neighborhoods located within Baltimore City, Maryland. All photographs were made between May and July 2025, and the book features 115 distinct communities drawn from every part of the city.

Jeffrey Rollinger
Abingdon, MD

Jeff Rollinger is an Associate Professor of Art + Design at Harford Community College. Located in Bel Air, MD, he serves as the photography coordinator and has been with the college since 2010. Jeff has been making photographs since the mid 1990’s. Jeff’s work has been exhibited across Maryland and nationally including San Francisco, CA, Rockport, ME, and Washington, DC.
