Acerca del libro
In a personal journey set out to Africa, Msungu explores the country of Kenya by giving a deeper glimpse to its people and the land they inhabit. The series of photographs is a documentary aimed to give the viewer a different perspective on Africa which contrasts with the false imagery disseminated into Western culture. “Msungu,” which means “the white man,” is not only a reflection on the photographer, but also a comment on the Western gaze and their presence in Africa. It is not a portrait of Kenya, but rather a journal of personal encounters and relationships.
