Ionic Age began with 35mm photographs taken in 2018 in the mountains of Ancona, Italy, where the artist was drawn to the landscape’s mythical energy. Capturing rock formations, springs, and misty forests, the artist later layered and collaged the images to recreate the site’s pulsating energy. The resulting works depict glowing, otherworldly rocks that symbolize portals—expressions of the earth’s living spirit and its deep, natural vibration beyond the reach of manmade materials.
