In his new zine Mario, Renato Rampolla shares the story of an unexpected friendship with a man living on the streets of Tampa. Over the course of several years, their long walks through city streets and alleys opened windows into lives and stories often hidden from view.
What began as chance encounters grew into trust, conversation, and ultimately transformation: Mario is no longer homeless and remains one of Rampolla’s close friends. Through candid portraits and layered street scenes, the project reveals not only Mario’s journey but also the shared humanity that transcends circumstance.
