Britt and Lorraine Cummins share a love for travel, nature, wildlife, landscape, urban, abstract, and motion photography. Their interest in photography developed during high school/college and has continued to grow throughout married life. As they have traveled all over the world and experimented with various genres of photography, they have become mesmerized by how powerful the use of motion can be in transforming everyday subjects and scenes into fascinating works of art. They have discovered how the use of motion in their images allows them to capture a moment in time in a way that can make an image more captivating and artistic. They have found that experimenting with the use of motion is a lot of fun while simultaneously pushing artistic creativity and boundaries.

This is one in a planned series of books that focuses on the creative use of motion when capturing photographs of a wide variety of locations and subjects. The “Rhythms of Motion” series demonstrates the methods, approaches, and techniques that can be used by photographers to creatively use motion in an artistic way to tell stories about life and the world around us.
This volume in the series shows how Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) can be used to push the boundaries of creativity when capturing a single subject at a single location. Through use of ICM and the photographers' creative vision, this project resulted in the 50 artistic images showcased in this book.

All the images for the "Rhythms of Motion" series were captured using a variety of digital cameras over a period of several years. Digital cameras included a combination of bridge cameras, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras. The captions of each image show information about the camera used and relevant settings.
