In my work I am concerned mainly with atmospherics and memory. Sources include formal and botanical gardens, cemeteries and country estates. These hold both personal memories from my childhood as well as those pertaining to their own history. I hope to capture these places at quiet moments when nothing specific is happening, so it is the place alone that holds the viewer’s attention.
