Acerca del libro
Twelve islands, twelve years, twelve subjects: they are the visual fragments of an acquaintance that began in 2011, after a navigation from my Italian homeland in search of my origins, which I have always imagined in Greece. My first photobook – Ulysses’ Gaze - told the emotions of the journey, which is usually the realization of a dream, of discovery but also of return. Ulysses has always been the symbol of this search that man also makes within himself, of his own origins. The twelve topics presented in “Dódeca” are arranged in the order of the English title since the beginning of the project in 2023. I intentionally omitted the locations and chronology of the images, because I wanted to make the stories behind the black and white images similar to the dream, in a timeless non-place.
