When James woke in a strange wilderness, he struggled to come to grips with how he had gotten there, and how he would make it home. After battling to survive predators, the elements, and the psychological impact of his memories and dreams, James was glad to wake-up back in his bed again.

Picking-up where In Dreams Of Sleep left-off, James now finds himself in a distant future, and on a remote planet. Upon waking in this unfamiliar place, he is immediately drafted into a military to fight for the survival of mankind itself. As he is submerged into the extremes of this new situation, in a time and place he doesn't know or understand, James also continues his journey through his own psyche while the story unfolds to reveal the sinister plot he and his fellow "recruits" have become embroiled in. Will he and his comrades have to fight? If so, do they have what it takes to survive? Most importantly, will James be able to make it home again?
