I received my first camera, an Agfa "Clack", when I was eight years old as a gift from my grandfather. While he was not particular interested in taking pictures, he enjoyed buying me the necessary 120 format roll film and encouraged me to experiment. I was happy, and photography is since then my beloved hobby. Combined with my love for travel the two make a splendid pair. As Professor of Architecture in one of the leading programs in the country I have the opportunity to visit foreign countries on a regular basis. My cameras, now three different Leica models, are always with me. The first one, the "Clack", is still in my possession.
