This collection is the result of a personal challenge undertaken by Artist Kellie Snider between February and July 2023. Seeking diversity in every sense, she reached out to friends, family, and online contacts, inviting them to be the subjects of this artistic exploration. Many people volunteered themselves, family, and friends to be included.
The project encompasses a broad spectrum of ages, races, ethnicities, genders, and abilities, reflecting the rich tapestry of human diversity. As the portraits unfolded, Kellie delved into the intricacies of facial structure, capturing the unique essence of each individual.
Not shying away from the unconventional, some participants, on request, sent photos making goofy faces—a playful departure from the norm in fine art. Though met with criticism, these pieces became some of the artist's favorites, adding a touch of whimsy to the collection.
