Inspired by the desire to better track her finances, mental health, social relationships, and more, Fumi from NYC created the "Daily Check-In" -- a fun, colorful daily journal for documenting the progress (or missteps) in daily attempts at self-care.
The daily pages feature six categories to reflect on, each representing a vital pillar of a happier and more balanced life: "Finance", "Mind", "Health", "Social / Community", "Appearance", and "Joy". The seventh section is left blank for a custom category of your choice, for special notes, or anything else you can think of.
Finance: Jot down financial goals, budget updates, and savings progress in the finance category. Emotional experiences related to current finances are welcome, as well. What are some improvements you've made in your daily finances? What do you need to work on? Write about it here.
Mind: The "Mind" category can be used for documenting any initiatives for improving daily focus or mental health, such as meditation practices or reading. Any notices of mental shifts or changes throughout the day can be documented here as well.
Health: Daily initiatives for a healthier lifestyle, such as improvements in diet or exercise routines, may be documented here. Health goals or concerns may also go here.
Social / Community: Plans involving others, volunteering, or other social events may be written about here. If this category remains empty for too long, it may be time to plan some social outings with friends or reach out to your community.
Appearance: For any appearance-related observations, write them here. Reflecting on your appearance can inspire improvements in hygiene, personal style, self-expression, and professionalism. Changes made to improve (or experiment!) with your look go here.
Joy: Any hobbies or activities that bring daily joy can go here.
"Grading" each category everyday may also benefit to reroute one's habits to improvement.
