I am a retired elementary music teacher. I have two grown children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. My husband Mark and I are "Snow Birds". We live in Arizona in the Winter and in Minnesota in the summer. I wrote this book as an encouragement for children to show kindness to others and to make a grandma figure as still being having vitality and making a difference in this world. The Illustrator Jean Reichert is my dear friend. We have been in Moms In Prayer for many years. She has 5 grown children and 12 grandchildren. She is such a gifted artist and I am very blessed that she has illustrated this story.
