Acerca del libro
In the series, Reversed Echo, 2023, color photographs incorporate mirrors in a way to help alter the view of the natural world. Throughout the making of the photographs, I realized that as humans we don’t think of the real meaning of mirrors. Typically people just look at their own reflection, the vanity. It sparks the idea of our self-awareness, we see the truth of who we are reflected back to us. The placing of the mirrors in the photographs allow us to focus on what's in front of us and what's behind us. Relating to looking in a mirror and seeing ourselves for who we are but also seeing what is apart from us. In this series when mirrors are placed in nature itself, it makes us realize we have to see past ourselves to understand the impact we make on the world.
