This photographic study attempts to describe in images the entire yearly cycle of the Sacred Lotus that blooms each summer in an old mill waterworks along Boston Neck Road near Hamilton Village, Rhode Island. I believe the monochrome format allows for a deeper appreciation of the meditative elegance and beauty of these wonders of nature.
