The Altar Book is a documentary photographic project of rare color photographs of altars based on a thirty-year journey through Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Cuba by Peter Kloehn, exhibiting the powerhouse of the African diaspora. It includes scholarly essays by anthropologists, art historians, and curators.
