I am interested in the study of place. Every place is different. Places are always changing. Over the minutes of an hour. Over the hours of a day. Across the seasons. As the years pass by. Each moment provides us with a unique experience in a unique place. The sound of the waves on the beach or of the wind rustling through the leaves. The sound of a busy street or of the birds singing in the trees. The smell of orange blossoms, jasmine flowers, or a pine forest. The smell of wood fired pizza ovens or the ocean at sunrise. The feel of a sudden rain shower on a hot afternoon or of snowflakes landing on your nose on a still winter night. There are the people we meet, the experiences we have, and the things we see. I capture moments of time and place with my photos. The first issue of this series looks back at a sampling of some of the places I have experienced in the past.
