Frank Ward's career highlights include being a Cultural Envoy for the US Department of State, and giving workshops throughout Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. He has presented at the American Centers in Egypt and Turkmenistan. Ward received National Endowment for the Humanities support for his documentary photography in Holyoke, MA. He was awarded an Artist Fellowship from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for his photography in the Former Soviet Union. Ward has received the National Endowment for the Arts/ New England Foundation for the Arts Photography Grant for his Holyoke work and a Polaroid/View Camera Magazine award for his pictures in Tibet. The Rotary Foundation supported his work in India. I.A.A. Anstalt, in Switzerland, funded his work in Nepal. He has been supported by the Center for Balkan Development to photograph and generate exhibitions in Kosovo and Bosnia. His work has been displayed throughout the United States. He is married to the essay writer Vivian Leskes.
