I began writing for newspapers and magazines early in my career. As a college counselor, I noted that what was needed was a book that provided a capsule summary of what it took to get students ready for college. So I wrote a book: College Quest. Then I became interested in genealogy especially when I discovered that our family had a link to the Royal family of England, the Hawaiian Revolution, and the Pineapple King, James Drummond Dole. There were other interesting family ancestors of note. This was twenty years ago. My first Dole history book - Dole Family History Vol.1 (on Amazon) - was published in 2014. Then I began to look at other relatives, especially those of the George Hathaway Dole family and their thirteen children. I began to compile a second book - to be sold through the Blurb website.
